Zeni Geva - Total Castration Zeni Geva

Formed in Tokyo in 1987, ZENI GEVA reached a turning point on 1991’s “Total Castration”, the first album recorded and engineered by their lifelong friend and collaborator Steve Albini. Never before available on vinyl and extensively restored and remastered, “Total Castration” is where one of rock music’s most ferocious and uncompromising partnerships began - a landmark in heavy music laid to analog tape.

Pressed on “24Hz GOLD” Colored Vinyl and comes complete with a double-sided, collectible Footlong OBI.

Zeni Geva toured the world, released numerous albums, and were and are a formidable force in the noise, punk, metal, and experimental scenes. To say they are the missing link between all those genres and their respective bands and fans is an understatement. – BANDCAMP DAILY

K.K. Null is a living legend and ZENI GEVA is Null's answer to grindcore and the eternally heavy. - PITCHFORK

Zeni Geva extrudes venomous thrash with a death metal sensibility and the kick-pedal frequency of hardcore industrialism. “Total Castration” is a groaning mass of gory riff decimation – TROUSER PRESS

“Calling Zeni Geva noise rock is accurate enough to be useful and insufficient enough to be frustrating. They’ve spent decades doing something that most heavy music never quite manages: making noise feel genuinely dangerous. Zeni Geva have been doing this since before the internet existed to explain or categorize them, and the music has that quality of things that were never made to be consumed quickly. It was built to last precisely because it was built without compromise. Thirty-plus years in, the catalog doesn’t feel dated. It feels like evidence.” – METAL JAPAN
