Too Many Daves - Weekend At Dave's Too Many Daves

Weekend at Dave's, the debut album from Too Many Daves, has been out of print for 13 years. Guess what? It's back in press for a limited run with A.D.D. Records and, here in the UK, Little Rocket Records.

This hidden Tampa punk rock gem was originally released in 2010 to a surprisingly warm reception from fans and critics alike. Prior to Weekend at Dave's, the band released numerous singles between 2006 and 2009, followed by the six-song EP Dawn of the Dave's in 2011.

That drunken, whimsical weekend turned into a 15-year vacation for the Daves. The world has evolved since then, while the Daves have remained in a holding pattern of arrested development.

Enduring life's many tests in the form of felonies, arrests, prison time, flooding, hurricanes, sobriety, health issues, and a revolving turnstile of bass players, the pandemic proved to be something of a revelation. Sitting around on the couch doing bong loads became passé without being able to turn that stoner logic into anthems for the disenfranchised.

They returned to the studio in 2024, initially tracking new songs for a future release, a process that lasted into the spring of 2026. After many delays, distractions, trepidation, and countless tweaks, the Daves are set to reluctantly return with the follow-up to Weekend at Dave's, titled Return of the Living Dave's, in the autumn of 2026.

The impending return of the Daves to this dystopian landscape is on the way. To survive this apocalypse, you'll need to break out your Too Many Daves handbook and take a refresher course with the classic debut full-length, Weekend at Dave's.
