Thin Lizzy's second album for Decca was released in 1972, produced by Nick Tauber, and featuring a lineup of Phil Lynott, Eric Bell, and Brian Downey. The title came from the members’ previous band names, Shades of Blue and Orphanage. Never previously available outside of Japan, these SHM-CD titles are being made in Japan and will be available for the first time globally. Made from LCD-grade polycarbonate instead of standard material, SHM-CDs allow for more precise data etching, offering superior sound quality.

Formed in 1969 in Dublin, the Phil Lynott-fronted band combined folk, blues, hard rock, and more into an alluring rock ’n roll cocktail, showing off formidable technique while exuding unimaginable swagger. Recordings like Look What the Wind Blew In, The Rocker, and their never-surpassed version of the Irish pub standard Whiskey In The Jar are primed to leap from the speakers — not least of all guitarist Eric Bell’s inspired, influential fretwork.
