LP - 180g Black Vinyl
Begin Here is the debut studio album by the English rock band The Zombies, originally released in April 1965 by Decca Records. This reissue is mastered at Half Speed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, then pressed onto heavyweight 180g vinyl, delivering the best possible sound quality for this classic album. The sleeves are produced from superior quality scans, featuring beautifully detailed reproduction artwork.
Since their reunion in recent years, worldwide interest in the band, founded by keyboard virtuoso Rod Argent and distinctive vocalist Colin Blunstone, has grown significantly. However, finding their Beat era LP in mint condition remains a challenge, with pristine copies fetching several hundreds at auctions.
First released in 1965, this debut album propelled the group to fame with the smash hit She’s Not There. The record is highlighted by this classic single, alongside a collection of gritty R&B covers that perfectly capture the raw sound British bands embraced in the early 1960s. Included are spirited renditions of R&B favourites such as Road Runner and I Got My Mojo Working, complemented by many standout original compositions by Rod Argent and bassist Chris White.
