A collection of ten tracks recorded over a decade, in studio and at home, it has contributions by Conor O'Brien, Faye O'Rourke, Seán Mac Erlaine, and a host of other wonderful Irish musicians.

The Next New Low is a project from Brian Mooney.

In the early nineties Brian was to be found behind the sound desk in the dark little venues of Dublin. Setting up the stage in The Underground and The Attic for bands like Whipping Boy, Pet Lamb, Luggage, The Wormholes, Felmale Hercules and a host of other bands that were blasting their way through those days.

He fronted the by now ledgendary band The Idiots (Dirt Records)and was sound designer for a number of theatre productions most notably Pan Pan Theatre.

In 2004 he started his record label Trust Me I'm A Thief with releases by Jape, Si Schroder, The Redneck Manifesto, Goodtime John, Somadrone, Beautiful Unit and more. 2025 saw the release of a Lo- Fi Casio vinyl EP The Unreachable

He is joined by Daniel Luke (piano) and Lizzi Murtough (cello) on stage and recently they have played the Metronome Series NCH, Clonakilty Guitar Festival, Altogether Now and a sold out residency in Whelans. Today he is still to be found in the dark little venues of Dublin.
