The Fashionettes / The Performers - Losin Control / I Can't Stop You The Fashionettes / The Performers

A switch to northern soul for our fifth release The Fashionettes - 'Losin' Control' The Mary Saxton version of this was a monster at Wigan Casino, but this - the clearly superior version - went unreleased for 40 years until Kent Records maestro Ady Croasdell uncovered it and cut Keb Darge a dub of it

Keb then played it on his next tour with DJ Shadow, who told Keb it was his favourite record from his set. A powerful tune indeed. The Performers - 'I Can't Stop You' A Mirwood record with quite a bit of the Mirwood sound sucked out of it, leaving us with a more sophisticated stomper than usual. Somewhat ignored in the heyday of the northern scene, but perfect for today's young and slightly more sophisticated crowd.
