These recordings mark the first standalone release of previously unheard studio sessions by The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Until now, the tracks were only available as part of the box set The Jimmie Vaughan Years – Complete Studio Recordings.

Recorded in 1978 while the band was searching for a record deal, the sessions were produced by Doc Pomus and Joel Dorn. Long believed to have been lost, the original tapes were eventually rediscovered in a damaged state before being carefully restored for release.

Featuring performances with the Roomful Of Blues horn section and Al Copley on keyboards, these recordings capture the band at a formative stage, delivering a powerful blend of blues, rhythm & blues, and rock that highlights the roots of their distinctive sound.
