Les Disques du Crépuscule presents a new coloured vinyl edition of Fidelity, the 1996 studio album by cult Manchester ensemble The Durutti Column.
Originally released by Crépuscule on CD only in April 1996, Fidelity featured ten tracks written and performed by Vini Reilly, with occasional guest vocals from Eley Rudge. Alongside Vini’s trademark guitar stylings, the album explored sleek electronic textures and programmed rhythms.
The best-known track remains Future Perfect, which gained renewed attention after appearing in the acclaimed Sundae episode of the hit HBO drama series The Bear in 2023.
This remastered vinyl edition also includes two bonus tracks. My Only Love originally appeared in 1995 on a covermount CD packaged with a specialist guitar magazine, while the experimental piece The New Fidelity was first issued on the 1992 Portuguese compilation Hare, Hunter, Field.
