And here you were thinking that Switzerland was solely about armed neutrality, Robin Wills and helping tech companies launder money, huh? Well, THE BASTARDS’ lone 1979 single helps pulverize that straw man into dust with all the Fake Punk trimmins’ ‘n’ trappins’ one would come to expect from the top shelf of early Euro shock pop-punk. They’re really shouting a whole lot here with Marie-Pierre on ‘Impossibilities’ sounding like a more detached Nikki Corvette (Nikki Monteverdi? Nikki Renault?) while Egyptian exile Sandro Sursock is less nuanced perhaps on numbers with enigmatic titles such as ‘Danger’ and ‘Schizo Terrorist.’ No matter who is singing the lead guitar is DAMNED DAMNED DAMNED throughout!
