Black vinyl version. Pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl. Includes insert.
The sophomore breakthrough album of one of the most successful pop-rock groups of the 1980s. Featuring the monster hits Walk Like an Egyptian and the Prince-written song Manic Monday
If we're talking about essential pop-rock albums from the 1980s, Different Light is an essential mention! The all-female power pop group The Bangles had already attracted quite a lot of attention with their very catchy debut album All Over the Place. None other than Prince took notice and decided to give them his newly written song Manic Monday. It became the group’s first worldwide hit. Fortunately, the whole album was filled with potential hits, resulting in multi-platinum status in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The 12-track set Different Light spawned five charting singles, including the aforementioned Manic Monday, If She Knew What She Wants, Walking Down Your Street, Following and Walk Like An Egyptian. The latter became the band’s first #1 single.
