Tha God Fahim looms large in hip-hop’s resurgent underground movement, continually fueling a thriving subset of rap artistry alongside frequent collaborators like Mach-Hommy, Your Old Droog, Nicholas Craven, and more. Back in 2016, Tha God Fahim had yet to reach these heights, as early projects with producers Camoflauge Monk and Giallo Point had just started to catch the attention of listeners. The Atlanta wordsmith had a major breakthrough that summer, as TGIF began to circulate more than any of his previous releases.

Executive produced by Mach-Hommy and featuring the first ever Mach/Fahim collaborations, the album introduced one of the most rewarding long-term partnerships in hip-hop history. With sparse soundscapes anchored in Fahim’s raw sample mastery, TGIF is equal parts ominous and meditative, with a spiritual mindstate underpinning lethal battle rhymes. Now, TGIF is finally receiving a proper physical release. 10th Anniversary Edition on CD and 2LP vinyl includes three physical-only bonus tracks and new artwork.
