The Dream Mixes Ultimate Edition brings an extraordinary chapter back into the spotlight: the series, created by Jerome Froese, demonstrates how the characteristic elements of Tangerine Dream can be reimagined in a modern form. The Dream Mixes were created in the 1990s as standalone compositions, inspired by the creative renaissance in electronic music of that era. Jerome Froese combined atmospheric sequences, hypnotic rhythms and complex soundscapes with the production methods and stylistic trends of the time, ranging from ambient to progressive electronic dance music. The result is an unmistakable sound that draws on the tradition of electronic music whilst feeling fresh and contemporary.

The series kicks off with Dream Mixes I (1995) and Dream Mixes II (1997), which are being released for the first time as meticulously remastered Ultimate Editions on a double CD in a digipak. The remastering was carried out personally by Jerome Froese and preserves the atmosphere of the original recordings, whilst transparency, dynamics and sonic depth have been carefully optimised.

Each Ultimate Edition contains the fully remastered original album on CD 1, and on CD 2, rare and previously unreleased archive recordings featuring alternative mixes, radio edits, demos, working versions and bonus tracks. The bonus material offers an exclusive insight into the creative development and production of the albums.
