BIO:
Blazing out of Sydney’s underground, Straight Arrows are the wild-eyed torchbearers of Australian psychedelic-garage-punk rock - fuzzy, frenetic, and fiercely DIY. Known for their blistering live shows, mid-fi charm, cult-beloved releases, and unstoppable energy, they don’t just play stages, they vapourise them.
Straight Arrows have spent the better part of their existence making Australia’s garage scene look lazy. Their records have oozed out through labels in Australia, the USA, UK, Italy, and pretty much anywhere else willing to press a slab of fuzzed-out, melodic chaos and/or weirdness with their name on it.
Henry Rollins, and John Dwyer (OSEES) have been loudly waving the Straight Arrows flag for years, and even Iggy Pop has come to the party, spinning the band on his BBC6 radio show. If you’ve ever seen them live, you know the deal. They’ve been plucked to tour and share stages with garage-punk royalty - Thee Oh Sees/OSEES, The Sonics, Ty Segall, The Gories, New York Dolls.
Still stubbornly independent and allergic to anything resembling polish, Straight Arrows keep charging ahead, destroying amps, genres, and eardrums with the same reckless joy they started out with. Having their highly acclaimed album 'Surface World' behind them, and an already chaotic 2026 looming (including a brand new 45,and tours of both Japan AND Europe), they’re not here to save garage punk. They’re here to smash it up and cavort in the rubble.
