As Spidergawd releases their album number eight, it's with a surprising title: from eight to infinity (or from 8 to ∞), chosen for its graphic and pensive feel. The band hereby ends the Roman numeral titles used for their previous seven albums. Other than that, Spidergawd is back with their unmistakable Spidergawd sound.

from eight to infinity is, as with every new album, a reaction to its predecessor. Whereas Spidergawd VII had a significant 80s pop-rock touch, from eight to infinity leans more into an esoteric hard rock direction. Key influences like Thin Lizzy and Motörhead are still front and center, but where Spidergawd VII nodded toward 80s Rush, Adrian Smith, and Boston, from eight to infinity is more of a prototype drawing references from AC/DC and Cheap Trick on one end, and Metallica and Black Sabbath on the other.

With a fresh new album that leans further into rock'n'roll than in the past, everything is in place to generate (if possible) even more energy on stage in the future.
