Following up the warmly-received Dolphin Debut EP, Toronto’s Some Exercise has resurfaced with a debut full-length record: Web Peril.

This time around the project’s angular, shrieking guitars are joined by EBM-style synthesizers, molasses-thick bass, and clanking drum machines. The final product is 9 tracks of scrambling post-punk replete with discreet hooks and acidic soundscapes.

Across its swarm of Avant-tinged tracks, Web Peril spits out a sardonic analysis of our post-internet age. Siphoning inspiration from project-lead S. Pichonsky’s personal web-induced anxieties, Some Exercise's cold dissection of the internet's natural pathos bleakly imparts this cautionary tale - the onus is yours. Online is offline. Consume what consumes you.
