SOB X RBE - From The Land SOB X RBE

Seven years after parting ways, Vallejo rap group SOB X RBE reunite for FROM THE LAND, a 13-track album released via EMPIRE. Yhung T.O., DaBoii and Slimmy B bring the energy of their early records to songs shaped by fatherhood, solo careers and years apart.

Emerging in 2016, SOB X RBE made their mark with tracks like “Anti”, “Calvin Cambridge” and “Lane Changing”, pairing rapid-fire vocal handoffs with Bay Area bounce and vivid stories from their neighbourhoods. Their 2018 releases GANGIN and GANGIN II established them as leaders of a new generation, while “Paramedic!”, from Kendrick Lamar’s curated Black Panther: The Album, brought their Vallejo sound to a global audience.

The group parted ways in 2019 to pursue solo careers. “Time gave us the chance to grow up, become fathers and understand what really matters. We never stopped being brothers,” the trio said. That perspective runs through the record as they trade verses with the ease of lifelong friends who know each other’s cadence by heart.

Led by reunion singles “Ten Summers”, the hometown tribute “From The Land” and the melodic, reflective “Someone”, the album balances the grit of their early work with more contemplative songwriting. Arriving alongside a run of West Coast tour dates, FROM THE LAND brings the trio back to the sound they built together in Vallejo.
