‘Love and Rage’ is a huge leap forward from Shooting Daggers' EP 'Athames', in fact we believe Daggers have recorded something of a potential classic debut. Nine storming numbers, the are kick ass buzzsaw punk bangers of course, blistering shards of pent up fury, like ‘Dare’ and ‘Not My Rival’ ‘Wipeout’ and ‘Bad Seeds’. Daggers ‘as you might expect, but here, more catchy, more direct, more focussed than before.

However, things start to get even more interesting with songs like ‘Smug’ ‘Tunnel Vision’ 'A Guilty Conscience...' and the title track. A big hint that this is no ordinary punk rock record. Add in a 90's vibe, dreampop, shoegaze, post punk, a keen sense of hook and melody that will earworm these songs into your brain. And you have an album that is as sick as it is beautiful. Sheer class from start to finish.
