Sepultura’s acclaimed 1989 album Beneath The Remains was the band’s major label debut on Roadrunner, and it still hits with real force. Now widely recognised as a thrash-metal classic, it sharpens the Brazilian group’s mix of piercing melodies and pummelling rhythms into something lean, fierce and lasting.

In December 1988, Max Cavalera (guitar/vocals), Igor Cavalera (drums), Paulo Jr. (bass) and Andreas Kisser (guitar) recorded Beneath The Remains in Rio de Janeiro with producer Scott Burns.

Released in April 1989, it quickly earned praise from fans and critics alike, with standouts including Inner Self, Primitive Future and the title track. This edition features the album newly remastered especially for this collection
