Guitarist Seitaro Mine has established a rich and distinctive musical identity through a wide range of genre-defying projects.

These include the rock band INUSHIKI with Yohei Miyake, Shoji Ishiguro, and Kazunari Kakinuma; The Tchiky's, which explores the depths of African music; Chinza Dopeness & Doping Band, embodying the evolution of hip-hop; Acoustics & Soul Gang, his duo with YAMAZIN; NEKOSOGI, a band of wild musicians led by Row Hoo Man; and marron mine guitar duo with Kyoto-based guitarist Marron. Across these projects, Mine has brought his broad, deeply nuanced musical sensibility to life through outstanding musicianship and expressive playing.

As this title suggests, "Fermented Music" is a collection of eight exquisite guitar instrumentals that have matured over time, much like the process of fermentation. Incorporating elements of field recordings and sound collage, the tracks unfold in a narrative sequence, creating an album with an evergreen appeal.

The album also evokes a sense of kinship with works by pioneers and innovators of guitar music, including John Fahey, founder of American primitive guitar; Pat Metheny, whose work has intersected with minimalism and contemporary classical music; and new age jazz guitar greats Ralph Towner and Michael Hedges. It also resonates with acclaimed albums such as Jim O'Rourke's "Bad Timing" and Jeff Parker's "Forfolks." Here, a new classic in guitar instrumental music for a new era is born.

The album was recorded at a Certain Musician's Old House Studio in Nagano. Mastering was handled by Yuuki Hara from Shogin Engineering.
