Sadeedo - Azizi In Space - “a musical postcard from earth for a friend in space I haven't met yet”

Sadeedo was born and raised in London, with Arab & Bosnian roots. Now he lives on the mediterranean island of Ibiza. He DJs around the island in the summer season and makes music in the winter, starting with beats on his MPC, before working with a crew of musicians and friends to create something that reflects his background and his current cosmopolitan island life.

His first album, Azizi In Space, is the sum of all the music that has inspired Sadeedo over the years - Eclectic music that's soulful, sunny, cosmic, psychedelic, hypnotic, groovy, funky, from all over the world. This is his ‘golden record’, a mix of all those varied sounds and influences, sending a message out to the universe.

Azizi means 'my friend' in Arabic. Sadeedo describes this record as - “a musical postcard from earth for a friend in space I haven't met yet”. This idea is inspired by the concept of Nasa's golden record, (Voyagers 1 & 2, both carrying the golden record, are now approximately 15 billion miles away from earth and still going).

In the first track, the first voice you hear is the Arabic greeting from the actual golden record. While most of the voices just say hello, the Arabic speaker says - 'greetings to our friends in the stars'...
