Robec - modular session I - actaeon Robec
CD
In this slightly parallel universe, robec goes all electronic on his second album on Gymnocal Industries with Modular Sessions I - Actaeon. Recorded live on a modular synth over the course of a week, the concept is simple: patch, record, reset, and repeat—every day.
By locking randomness in melodies and patterns, this generative starting point lets the songs evolve into hypnotic repetitiveness and cinematic soundscapes, shaping this experimental industrial-sounding album. Although being inspired by Brian Eno’s idea of control and surrender, the ploinkyness of Tom Waits and Tangerine Dream’s sequencing, the album's backbone is the ritual pulse of a kickdrum and dark ambient synths.
