Phil Collins - Hello, I Must Be Going! (2026 Reissue) Phil Collins

On the day before Phil Collins is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame we will reissue his entire catalogue on vinyl with the original sleeves, featuring the 2016 remasters. This follows the previous versions that featured the 2015/2016 deluxe edition sleeves, but they will now revert to the original.

With Hello, I Must Be Going!, Phil Collins delivered one of the most emotionally direct and sonically distinctive pop records of the early ’80s. Written in the wake of personal upheaval, the album taps into a raw, almost disarming honesty, pairing Collins’ trademark rhythmic precision with a darker, more intimate edge. The result is a set of songs that feel both glossy and wounded, catchy and cathartic.

Anchored by the unmistakable gated-drum atmosphere he helped pioneer, the record swings from the tender ache of “Don’t Let Him Steal Your Heart Away” to the tense, slow-burn pulse of “I Don’t Care Anymore.” Its surprise commercial triumph came via his bold, horn-driven reimagining of The Supremes’ “You Can’t Hurry Love,” a hit that showcased Collins’ playful side amid the record’s introspection.

Forty years on, Hello, I Must Be Going! stands as a defining statement—an album that balances pop craftsmanship with emotional weight, capturing an artist reshaping his voice in real time.
