Liverpool legend Pete Wylie delivers a raw and emotionally charged collection of recordings on Songs of Strength & Heartbreak. Released following a lengthy hiatus after 1991’s Infamy! or How I Didn't Get Where I Am Today, the album taps into themes of resilience, loss and love, offering fans an intense journey through personal triumphs and struggles.

Having risen to fame in the 1980’s with The Mighty Wah! and hits like ‘Story of The Blues’ and ‘Sinful’, Wylie has grown a strong, cult fanbase over the years with his passionate, anthemic songs of defiance and vulnerability paired with biting lyrics.

After hearing the demos, Sony Records subsidiary Columbia signed Pete in the late ‘90s, spending over a million pounds recording an album, only for it to remain on the shelf and unreleased. Pete eventually got the rights back and released it on Castle Communications. However, this deluxe release will be the first time the record is issued on a widescale, housed in a deluxe spot-gloss gatefold sleeve and remastered and cut at AIR Mastering.
