I Trollskogens Drömmande Mörker finds Otyg stepping further into their own world. More bite, more movement, and more confidence than Bertagen. The songs are tighter, the melodies sharper, and the playing more adventurous, without losing the natural folk feel.

The violin and female vocals are woven into the music rather than sitting on top of it, adding depth and character instead of decoration. Norrut stands out as proof of how skilled and imaginative the band already were, while the closing tracks slow the pace and leave behind a lingering, almost ritualistic atmosphere.

Remastered in 2025 by Vintersorg, this reissue preserves the raw edge of the original recordings while giving them the clarity they deserve.
