Cult Scandinavian folk metal! Otyg’s demo recording Galdersång Till Bergfadern has been remastered from the original tapes.

The third and final Otyg demo stands as the last hushed whisper before the band stepped into the light. Recorded in 1997 and never officially released at the time, Galdersång Till Bergfadern laid the foundation for much of what would become Älvefärd, with several tracks later re-recorded for that full-length.

Here the melodies are ancient, the rhythms untamed, and the group already locked into their own language of Scandinavian folk and metal. You can hear the roots of violin, flute, and lute dancing with guitar and voice, all pushing forward into territory only Otyg could define.

Remastered in 2025 by Vintersorg, this reissue preserves the raw edge of the original recordings while giving them the clarity they deserve.
