Bossa Nova Soul Samba stands as Ike Quebec's most significant contribution to the rich fusion of Jazz and Brazilian music. Recorded in 1962 and released the same year on Blue Note, this was Quebec's final studio session before his passing in January 1963.

A beautiful and intimate recording, the album showcases Quebec’s warm tenor sax tone, supported by a light and gentle groove featuring: Kenny Burrell – guitar, Wendell Marshall – bass, Willie Bobo – drums, and Garvin Masseaux – chekere.
