Made In Senegal is the first new studio album in almost a decade from legendary Senegalese group Orchestra Baobab, and their first since Tribute To Ndiouga Dieng in 2017.

Formed over 50 years ago as the resident band of the Baobab Club in Dakar, Orchestra Baobab have become one of Africa's most celebrated musical groups, blending Afro-Cuban rhythms, Wolof griot traditions, mbalax, Congolese rumba, and jazz into a timeless sound. Released by Strut Records in conjunction with Madoky Music, Made In Senegal was recorded entirely in Dakar and celebrates home, heritage, love, and resilience.

Following the passing of several founding members, the orchestra has continued to evolve, with sons, nephews, and longtime collaborators carrying the legacy forward. The current line-up combines veteran members Thierno Koité, Taga Koité, Moussa Cissokho, and Yahya Fall with a new generation including Zacharia "Papino" Koité, Korka Dieng, Malick Sy, René "Bolero" Sowatche, and Wilfrid Zinzou.

The album pairs new compositions with reimagined classics, including the lead single Togne Bakhoul, written by the late Rudy Gomis, Tioro Bye Samba, a new interpretation of a song by Thione Seck, Casamance, celebrating the culturally rich region of southern Senegal, and Baobab 50 Ans, marking the band's remarkable 50-year anniversary.

Made In Senegal is another modern classic from Orchestra Baobab, combining a fresh approach with roots firmly planted in Senegal's rich musical traditions.
