Nosu are one of the most exciting emerging bands in Taiwan’s indie scene today. Their sound blends an inherently Asian, exotic melodic sensibility with a rich mix of Western soul, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop influences, resulting in a truly original musical identity.

From the album opener “Flight,” where mellow guitar tones intertwine seamlessly with soulful vocals, the band establishes a refined groove. “Bakerloo” features fellow Taiwanese rappers Flowstrong and 53mo, delivering a playful, genre-bending track with experimental, breakbeat-like rhythms reminiscent of Balming Tiger.

Elsewhere, tracks such as “Waste My Time” showcase lush interplay between jazzy piano, trumpet, and layered choruses, while “Moons” offers a smooth, melodic vocal line. The expansive “Tunes for Suly,” running over seven minutes, highlights the band’s dynamic jazz sensibilities. With a lineup that expands to over ten musicians including guest performers, the album demonstrates remarkable musical breadth.
