Motorbass - Pansoul Motorbass

A classic of the "French Touch" movement released in 1996, Pansoul is the only album by the group Motorbass - formed four years earlier by Philippe Zdar (one half of Cassius) and Étienne de Crécy.

Born out of the early rave scene, the record blends house music with instrumental hip-hop and quickly garnered critical acclaim. A pillar of French electronic music, Étienne de Crécy will headline the Superdiscount Festival on December 18 and 19, 2026, at Le 104 in Paris (an event that sold out more than three months in advance). He will be joined by legendary house figures such as Kenny Dope and Felix Da Housecat, alongside contemporary artists including Tiga, Jayda G, and Uffie.

Pansoul by Motorbass is a must-have - both for long-time fans of the French Touch and for a new generation currently rediscovering this scene and its vinyl culture.
