Mong Tong - Sun Moon Darkness [Japanese Import] Mong Tong
Limited First Pressing Black Vinyl LP with Obi Strip
The 2025 masterpiece killer album from Mong Tong, the psychedelic experimental unit and maverick of the Taipei underground scene.
A unique musical world and otherworldly psychedelia that blends Taiwanese traditional music with 80s–90s electronic music, game music, and vintage psychedelia.
A musical unit formed by real-life brothers Hongyou and Junqi, who are also members of the band Prairie WWWW, formed in 2017! They released their 1st album, Mystery = 秘神 (2020), on the label Guruguru Brain, run by geometric-patterned artists Go Kurosawa and Tomo Katsurada. Bridging the music of the Chinese-speaking world and the globe, their performances in monochrome outfits were eccentric and mysterious.
Their unique worldview garnered a major response, and during their geometric-patterned final tour, they served as the opening act for the EU/UK shows and Ebisu Garden Hall.
Their 2nd album, 道火 Tao Fire (2023), was released as a work also paying tribute to Oscar Young (Yang Daohuo), a mystical pioneer of electronic music.
