Michiro Endo - Michiro [Japanese Import] Michiro Endo

A deeply personal solo statement featuring Michiro Endo alone with his voice and acoustic guitar.

The second release on his independent label, this self-titled album is a bold and intimate work that strips the music down to its absolute essentials. Unlike the previous release, 50/HALF, which was recorded live, Michiro was recorded entirely in the studio with Endo performing all the instruments himself.

Built around a simple, direct singer-songwriter approach, the album places Endo’s unmistakable voice and intensely personal lyrics firmly at the center. The sparse arrangements create an intimate atmosphere, allowing the listener to delve deeply into the vivid and often uncompromising world of his songwriting.

The original CD edition also included English translations of the lyrics by singer Aiko Edoga, highlighting the importance Endo placed on the words themselves and his desire to communicate their meaning beyond the Japanese language.

For listeners discovering Michiro Endo beyond his work with The Stalin, Michiro offers an especially revealing portrait of his artistry: raw, poetic, uncompromising, and deeply human.
