Max Tundra, aka Ben Jacobs, is one of the most influential artists of popular music right now. The hyperpop pioneer has collaborated with the likes of Arca, Daphne and Celeste and A.G. Cook. Domino reissue his first three studio albums: the uncategorisable 2000 debut Some Best Friend You Turned Out to Be, 2002’s breakthrough Mastered by Guy at the Exchange, and the 2008 masterwork Parallax Error Beheads You.

Some Best Friend You Turned Out To Be (2000) is Max Tundra's iconic artistic statement, in which he combines the sparse instrumentation of classic minimalist electro with an avant-garde leaning towards strange time signatures and instrumentation that does not fit together.
