Dark Wings marks a shift toward a looser, more collaborative sound for Mason Jennings, recorded in an unconventional studio space built inside a design workshop alongside drummer Scott McPherson and engineer Aaron Featherstone.

What began as a single track gradually evolved into an 11-song collection shaped by ongoing sessions, spontaneous collaborations and a rotating cast of musicians. The result is a warm, full-band record that embraces texture, instinct and the energy of capturing music in the moment.

An inspired departure from Jennings’ more solitary recent work, Dark Wings finds the acclaimed songwriter exploring new creative territory while retaining the heartfelt songwriting that has defined his career.
