 is an album made in response to a pair of glacial lakes, Lough Bré, at the top of the Glencree Valley, Co.Wicklow, Ireland.

A lake-burst is a phenomenon referred to in Irish mythology in which a previously non-existent lake comes into being, often when a grave is being dug and in this album Nunes guides listeners on a sonic journey of death and rebirth whilst drawing on Irish folklore, as well as her multi-cultural background and direct relationship with landscape to honour and conjure a distinctive sound-world for this ancient body of water.

Lake Burst is available as a double 45rpm clear vinyl LP, with printed inners and a gatefold sleeve. The vinyl LP also includes a 40-page booklet featuring texts by Maïa Nunes alongside a specially commissioned piece by Irish poet and playwright Paula Meehan. There is also a discussion between Maïa Nunes and Clodagh Assata Boyce.

The LP version comes with Lake Burst (Original Film Score), an extra track not included with the digital album. Lake Burst is also available as a Digital Album with Unlimited Streaming.
