Larry Corban - Beyond The Grid Larry Corban

Beyond the Grid is Larry Corban’s first album with Deko Entertainment and sixth as a jazz guitarist, composer and bandleader. The band is a quartet with Larry on guitar, Harvie S on upright bass and production, Miki Hayama on piano, Fender Rhodes, organ and synth, and Jason Tiemann on drums.

This album has four Larry Corban originals, three by Harvie S, and two standards from the American Songbook. The music is modern jazz with an exploratory sense of tonal painting in different textures to create various moods that range across the history of jazz: from parlor jazz to Weather Report and beyond.
