L’Épée, the collaborative project between Anton Newcombe, creative force behind The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and French actor and singer Emmanuelle Seigner, return after a seven-year hiatus with a new self-titled four-track EP.
This time without The Limiñanas, who completed the original Diabolique-era line-up, the new incarnation of L’Épée centres on Newcombe and Seigner.
Featuring ‘Coeur Griffé’, ‘No Goodbye’, ‘Forget It’ and ‘Don’t Eat Me’, L’Épée picks up the thread left by the group’s acclaimed 2019 debut album, Diabolique, pushing their psych-pop into darker territory while retaining the garage rock, sleaze and yé-yé that defined their earlier work.
