This product is an RSD Black Friday 2026 title, which is available to buy in-store from 8am on Friday 27/11/2026, and online from 8am on Saturday 28/11/2026.

As King Crimson biographer Sid Smith notes, “this performance is one of the band’s very best. While it’s true that there’s probably no such thing as a perfect gig, or, for that matter, the perfect LP, King Crimson live in Toronto comes as close to that benchmark as it’s possible to get”.

For King Crimson fans, this Massey Hall release is the kind of record that reminds you why live albums matter. Captured in one of music’s most iconic venues, it provides the chance to hear beloved songs from a different angle. There’s a looseness and immediacy here that only comes from a live performance, with the artist and band feeding off the audience and pushing the music into new territory. Even fans who know every note of the studio recordings will find fresh moments to appreciate.

Pressed on vinyl for the first time and presented as a limited 2LP set as a Record Store Day First for 2026 Black Friday, 1974: Massey Hall, Toronto forms the 2nd in the series of performances from the Fripp / Bruford / Wetton / Cross line-up.
