LP - 180g Black Vinyl with 20 page Liner-Text.

Kevin Nolan is a singer/composer from Dublin who grew up around a family of artists.

His debut EP Here's A Piece Of Ivan's Head (2008) introduced him as continuing in the lineage of Avante-Americana à la Tom Waits and Nick Cave but not without throwing his own hat into the ring, adding his own distinctive brand of conceptual songwriting and personal questing lyrics.

His album debut Frederick & The Golden Dawn (2014), on which he duetted with Choice Music Award Winner singer/composer Julie Feeney, frequented John Kelly's Mystery Train and the BBC 6 airwaves among others across Europe. Nolan began his debut album in 2006 although he had been recording since his teens on 4-tracks. Nolan is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. He has been composing, performing, mixing and producing his songs himself ever since from his home studio. Notable songs on Frederick & The Golden Dawn are "Blood Wedding", "Splinter", "Last Days Of Harry Carey" and his duet "Aubade".

This new album "Let's All Get Nervous" has just been released. On this new offering, you will find guest performances from Vyvienne Long, Mick Pyro, Alabaster DePlume and Susanne Wawra. The album comes with a 20-page booklet full of lyrics, art and texts from Nolan. His liner-text opens with three epigraphs, one from Bill Callahan, one from Jim Jarmusch and the last one from Kafka's Blue Notebooks. "Let's All Get Nervous" is teeming with innovative ideas. Nolan attempts to travel from one end of the album to the other starting with dramatic fimic compositions and dragging them song by song to the confessional. The central point in his timeline is The Frozen Present. Many Nolan family members contribute to the artwork on the vinyl and special edition CD & Bonus 7". The back cover sports a photomontage of Nolan painting his grandfather's face.
