Sound Records is proud to present Tremors in Copper, the debut full-length album from producer, composer and sound designer Jackson Almond.
Drawing together UK club music, folk traditions and contemporary composition, the album refuses easy categorisation. Hardware synthesis, tape processes, field recordings, guitars, clarinets, intricate tuned percussion and string arrangements processed through vintage digital effects create a world that feels simultaneously intimate and expansive. Echoes of trip-hop, broken beat, UK garage, house, IDM and ambient music surface throughout, but always in service of a singular musical voice rather than genre.
