Jackie Hill Perry - Still Blameless Jackie Hill Perry
White, Red Vinyl Vinyl 2LP
Still Blameless is what comes after the work is finished. "Southpaw" starts as a bar clinic and turns into fear - some of the densest writing on the record. "Balaam" is a blatant refusal of an inherited curse. "Eagle" sits down in Psalm 88, while "Ascension" closes on the dead in Christ rising first.
The lead single, "Clean" has drawn 300K+ streams since August 21 and premiered live at Holy Smoke before it reached a DSP. Blameless was Dove-nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year, and Still Blameless arrives as fuel to the fire.
