Gloria De Oliveira returns with her third album, The Lying Swans, and her first release for La Double Vie following two albums on Sacred Bones.

Produced by Randall Dunn and recorded between Iceland, New York, and Berlin, The Lying Swans explores the journey from grief towards hope through a dreamlike world where beauty and danger coexist. Inspired by Gothic literature and centred on the image of a woman fleeing a haunted house, the album pairs atmospheric arrangements with de Oliveira's intimate songwriting and distinctive voice.

Lead single Fading Faces introduces the album's emotional landscape, combining shimmering synths, thunderous drums, and glam rock-influenced guitars. Written at the beginning of the recording process and later recorded with Randall Dunn in Iceland, the song became the creative foundation for the album, marking a new level of vulnerability while expanding on the sound of Gloria De Oliveira's earlier work.
