One of the most influential voices of his time, his performances were renowned for their intensity, intelligence, and ability to engage and provoke thought. He referred to himself as a "bluesologist" and to many he is seen as "the godfather of rap". His raw, emotional story-telling from classics such as "Home is Where the Hatred Is" approach addiction through a poetic, personal, and sorrowful perspective. 

Recorded in Concert by KALXFM Radio on 16th January 1978 at Berkeley Hall CA. The Midnight Band featured Brian Jackson on Flute and Keyboards for this Concert.
