Ghostkid - Follow the White Rabbit Ghostkid

On the way down the rabbit hole: German metalcore outfit GHØSTKID return with their third album, FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT. Inspired by the worlds of Alice in Wonderland and American McGee’s Alice, mastermind Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler delves deeper than ever into personal emotions, using GHØSTKID as both an outlet and a vessel for his inner voices and thoughts.

Personal struggles and experiences have always been at the core of GHØSTKID’s fictional concept albums, but FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT is Sushi’s most personal work yet. Written during a period of intense change in both his career and personal life, the album explores feelings of burnout, anxiety, panic, hope, and self-preservation.

Tracks such as “MOTHER DEATH” confront Sushi’s struggles with insomnia and irrational anxiety, while “GIVE YOUR KIDS A GUN TO PLAY” delivers a sharp critique of society and modern media consumption. Across its 11 tracks, GHØSTKID refuses to look away from the darker corners of the human mind.

The album also reveals new dimensions to the band’s sound. “LOVELY” showcases a softer, more vulnerable side, while “NEON” (featuring MAZ UNIVERZE) incorporates hip-hop influences into GHØSTKID’s signature heavy sound. Even in its darkest moments, the album never loses sight of hope and the determination to keep moving forward.

Produced by Sushi’s longtime collaborator Sky van Hoff and mastered by Jens Dreesen, FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT captures dark sonic landscapes while pushing GHØSTKID into bold new territory.
