After the album "Jojo", "Solo" is the second album by George Kooymans, originally released in 1987. Kooymans, known as one of the founders, vocalists, and guitarists of the band Golden Earring, became well-known with his band. He is also famous for writing the song “Twilight Zone,” which hit #1 on the Billboard Top Album Tracks chart.

"Solo" is an album with many original compositions, complemented with a rock version of the Sonny & Cher hit “The Beat Goes On.”
