Life Is Bliss finds Gallus embracing the absurdity of modern life with their trademark mix of biting humour, punk urgency and brutal self-awareness.

Across 12 tracks, the Glasgow band explores the search for stability and peace as the people, places and certainties they once relied on are transformed or disappear altogether. From the cultural decline of their hometown and the lasting impact of civic decisions that reshaped communities, to personal anxieties, insecurity and self-sabotage, the album captures the tension between holding on and moving forward. 

Named after the lyric “Eyes are burning, life is bliss” from Donnie Murdo, and featuring artwork of a lone tree that has stood unchanged amid the rapid gentrification of Glasgow’s Finnieston, Life Is Bliss is loud, cathartic and surprisingly hopeful—Gallus at their most ambitious and emotionally resonant yet.
