FISCHER-Z - X-Ray Serenade FISCHER-Z

The new Fischer-Z album, X-Ray Serenade, released in September, marks the band's 50th anniversary. The album features seven new tracks alongside four reimagined versions of classic hits, re-recorded by the current band in a contemporary 2026 style.

The new songs explore the same themes that John Watts has always written about – human stories and the current state of the world, viewed through the eyes of an observer with a dark sense of humour.

Musically, Watts' signature vocals remain at the heart of the band's evolving sound. One of the new tracks, "Strings", has also been reimagined in an Official Bootleg mix by DJ Ingo Wörner. Longtime band members Dave Purdye and Marian Menge are now joined by Olly Newton and Chloe Leigh. This new line-up has already embarked on the band's international 50th Anniversary Tour.
