The debut album from Fight Like Apes was recorded in Seattle with producer John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Los Campesinos, Sleater Kinney etc). Fight Like Apes combine the synth with the sword in a heroic conflagration of loutish female vocals, brutal bass and digital distortion.

The album features the singles 'Something Global' and 'Jake Summers' as well as live favourites 'Battlestations' and 'Lend Me Your Face'. Think a mix of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's and early Pretty Girls Make Graves with hooks from kids tv programmes. Combining their love of three-minute pop tunes and the digital distortion pedal, 'Fight Like Apes And The Mystery Of The Golden Medallion' is the perfect passport to planet FLAPE.

Six years after originally calling it a day, Fight Like Apes have just announced that they are returning to headline the 3Olympia Theatre on Friday, 24th March 2023.
