Toc-Toc is the sixteenth studio album by Ed Motta and his first in 13 years to be sung entirely in Portuguese. Marking a return to both his native language and his musical roots, the album blends soul, funk, jazz, and Brazilian grooves with the sophisticated songwriting that has defined his career.

Inspired by the polished sound of the 1980s, Toc-Toc combines electro-funk, soulful rhythms, lush harmonies, and unmistakable Brazilian influences, brought together by Motta's warm, instantly recognisable voice and refined arrangements.

Born into one of Brazil's most influential musical families and nephew of legendary songwriter Tim Maia, Ed Motta developed a distinctive style inspired by artists including Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Cameo, alongside Brazil's rich musical traditions. Since beginning his career at the age of 15, he has become one of Brazil's most acclaimed musicians, celebrated for his harmonic sophistication, exceptional musicianship, and effortless fusion of Brazilian music with soul, jazz, and funk.
