Dub Sonata - Hello My Friend Dub Sonata

On Hello My Friend, producer Dub Sonata picks up where Nights In Cuba left off, returning to the Caribbean island for another crate-digging excursion through its dusty vinyl archives.

Hailed by Okayplayer as “relevant musically as it is politically” and by Chronogram as “an orgy of genre and influence that Lee 'Scratch' Perry would revel in,” Nights In Cuba seamlessly fused instrumental Hip Hop with the music of Cuba. Hello My Friend builds on that foundation, transforming obscure finds from Havana’s crates into immersive compositions through a blend of sample chops and live instrumentation.
