Mother Of Christ is a layered & raw journey through family, adulthood, and parentage, ranging from intimate songs about fear and doubt, to joyous bursts about the chaos and joy of life. Songs on the album range from: The quiet strength of relationships (Knots), generational pain (Bohemian), and family loss (Swallows), right up to joyful moments about the chaos of young kids (They Swim), the absurdity and power of family drama (Mother of Christ), and the joy in small moments (Dawn Chorus). There is humour, intimacy, and honesty spread through the album, with subtle humour and sound collages adding to the feelings throughout (the sound of muffled tv's from childhood, the sound of your mothers voice, the sound of piano raindrops).
